We provide mixing, mastering and production for music, along with audio post-production for podcasts and voice-over work. We also offer in-house recording for vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass, as well as amp modelling and re-amping for guitar tones.

We work with a wide range of genres, from rock and pop to hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and more. We’re happy to tackle your genre of choice. Every project is approached with fresh ears and a focus on bringing out the unique qualities of your music.

Absolutely. Many of our clients are recording for the first time. We’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, explaining what to expect and how to prepare. Our goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment so you can focus on your performance while we handle the technical details.

Monsoon Audio Works is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. In-house recording sessions take place at our studio here, while mixing, mastering production services are done both online and in-studio. This means we can collaborate with artists both locally and internationally through file-sharing and email, making it easy to work together no matter where you are in the world.

Fill out the booking request form on our website. You’ll be asked for details like the number of songs, track counts, preferred add-ons, and any reference tracks or notes. We’ll review your project and respond within one to two business days with a quote and timeline.

You can send files via cloud services like Dropbox or Google Drive. Once your booking is accepted, we’ll email you clear instructions on how to prepare and upload your files.

Most projects are handled entirely online although if you are within the Klang Valley area, we can arrange for in-person meetings and review sessions. If you’re booking in-house recording, you’ll come to our studio.

Yes, we work with artists worldwide. Communication and file sharing are done online, so distance is never an issue.

Mixing starts at MYR 419, which includes up to 50 tracks per song, two revisions, and final files in both .wav and .mp3 formats. Optional add-ons, like vocal tuning or grouped stems, are listed clearly so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

A 50% deposit is required to move forward once we’ve received your files and accepted your project. The balance is due before delivery of the final files. You’ll receive an email with instructions for payment when your project is approved.
For larger projects such as an EP or album, we can arrange a payment term in multiple parts. -
Yes. If you need adjustments after the final delivery, we can make them for an additional fee. The first two revisions are included in the base price.

For mixes, you’ll receive high-resolution .wav files (48kHz/24-bit) and .mp3 files (320kbps). Masters are provided in multiple formats for streaming, distribution, or CD manufacturing. Additional versions like instrumentals or grouped stems are available as add-ons.

Our listed rates are designed for independent artists and self-funded projects. If you’re a record label, production house, or commercial client, please reach out to us before booking. We’ll provide a custom quote with competitive commercial rates tailored to the scope and requirements of your project. This helps ensure fairness and the right level of service for every client.
Mixing

Make sure your multitrack files are organised and clearly labeled. Include any creative notes or reference songs to help us understand your vision. We’ll send you detailed guidelines once your booking is accepted.

The first mix is just the starting point. Two revisions are included so we can fine-tune the sound to match your expectations. If you need more changes, additional revisions are available for a small fee.

Yes, to an extent. We can address timing issues, tuning inconsistencies, and other common problems. If the problems are severe, we’ll let you know upfront what’s possible and what might require re-recording.

Our standard turnaround time is up to 7 days for the first version of a mix. If you need it faster, rush delivery is available for a 3-day turnaround. Delivery period may be subjected to changes.
Mastering

Mastering is the final step before your music is released. It ensures your track sounds polished, balanced, and competitive across different playback systems like streaming services, radios, and speakers. Mastering also addresses issues in your mix.

Yes. Even a well-mixed song benefits from mastering. It adds consistency across tracks for extended release projects, optimises loudness, and prepares your music for release.

Mastering can enhance a mix, but it can’t completely fix serious problems. If your mix has significant issues, we may suggest making changes at the mixing stage first for the best results.

We currently do not offer stem mastering as a standard service, though we hope to expand into this in the near future.

Absolutely. These can be delivered along with your main master upon request.

Standard turnaround time is up to 3 days for the first version. A rush option is available for a 1-day delivery.
Recording

Yes. We provide in-house recording for vocals, acoustic guitars, electric guitar and bass. Amp modeling and re-amping are also available to help you capture the tone you’re looking for.

We’ll guide you through the entire process. From mic placement to performance coaching, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable and prepared, even if this is your first time in a studio.

Yes. We offer precise editing services like vocal tuning and timing adjustments to ensure a polished final product.
Payment

Payments are handled securely through our website through Stripe or PayPal. You can pay with a credit or debit card during checkout.

All payments are processed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). If you’re outside Malaysia, your bank or card provider will automatically handle the currency conversion based on their exchange rates.

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to begin the project once we’ve received your files and confirmed the scope of work. The remaining balance is due before we deliver your final files.

Yes. We will invoice you to request for payment where you will be taken to our payment gateway. Once your payment is completed, you’ll automatically receive a receipt via email.
