The monsoon is a seasonal heavy rain, accompanied by warm, moist air — a familiar phenomenon to those of us in Asia.

With the storm, it brings both disruption and renewal. An ever-present force we learn to move through, not avoid. Monsoon Audio Works draws from that spirit. We believe in working with patience and persistence, meeting the chaos with care, and shaping something meaningful in the midst of it all.

Founded in 2025 by Dzafran Azmir, Monsoon Audio Works is an online mixing, mastering and post-production studio operating out of Malaysia that serves a global clientele. Dzafran began his audio journey in Plymouth, United Kingdom, learning under local engineers, producers and educators whose experience spans some of the industry's most iconic studios, including Trident Studios and Abbey Road.

With a background shaped by hands-on work with analogue gear — from SSL consoles and Distressors to sought-after microphones — he brings a tactile, musical sensibility into a modern, in-the-box workflow that honours the warmth and character of classic studio sound.
